Warrnambool is located approx. 3 hours drive south west from Melbourne using the Princess Highway.


Guests travelling along the spectacular Great Ocean Road should allow longer travel times due to the scenic and winding nature of the Great Ocean Road. Approx. Travel time from Melbourne to Warrnambool via Great Ocean Road is 6.5 hours.

Explore Around

Surfside makes a great base to explore the region. The world famous 12 Apostles National Park is only part of the spectacular coastline areas. There are plenty of quite beaches to discover in the area and avoid the crowds.

Shipwreck Discovery Trail

A great way to find some of the secret little beaches of the region is to  explore the Shipwreck Discovery Trail.

Not only does it take you to beautiful coastal scenic spots, but you can also learn of the strong maritime history the region has. Known as the Shipwreck Coast the trail is a great drive on calm or rough weather days.
