Surfside Holiday Park is located right in the heart of Warrnambool’s major attractions. Just a short walk over the sand dunes sees you on Warrnambool's main beach. This beach is patrolled by the Surf Life Saving Club during summer.
Warrnambool’s award winning foreshore promenade is a wonderful 5.7km path that stretches from the breakwater and the Pavilion Cafe along the coastline to the Hopkins River mouth. The promenade is very popular and you can walk, run, ride or skate along this scenic trail.
Bike Hire is available from the Warrnambool Visitor Information Centre by calling 1800 637 725.
Constructed in the late 19th century, the Warrnambool breakwater provided the sheltered waters required for Warrnambool to become a major port.
These days, it’s one of the best places in Warrnambool to cast a line and if you’re lucky, you may even see a seal or to playing in the nearby waters.
With many playgrounds through the park, and lots of open space, guests to Surfside have lots of options for safe play areas for the kids. There is a tennis rebound wall, basketball hoop and areas to play cricket or kick the footy.
A pedestrian tunnel links the park to the Lake Pertobe Adventure Playground area, wtih lots of areas to explore, great playground equipment and excellent nature walks.
Across the road from each other, and a short walk from Surfside (even shorter from Shipwreck Bay), both the skate park and the BMX track have been recently redeveloped and are the perfect places to sharpen extreme skills.
